Tehran, Havana sign seven key documents on bilateral cooperation — Iranian government

DUBAI, December 4. /TASS/: Tehran and Havana have signed seven cooperation agreements and memorandums during Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel’s visit to Iran, the Islamic Republic’s government said in a statement on Telegram.

"The presidents and high-ranking officials of Iran and Cuba signed seven documents and memorandums of cooperation. President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran and President Miguel Diaz-Canel of Cuba also signed a joint statement on the deepening of strategic bilateral relations," the statement reads. "The memorandums and documents signed by Iran and Cuba address the fields of science, technology, healthcare, agriculture, energy, mining, communications and medicine," the Iranian government’s statement specified.

Diaz-Canel’s visit to Iran is the first trip to the Islamic Republic by a Cuban leader since 2001, when Fidel Castro traveled to Tehran.
