JORDAN CONDEMNS ISRAELI VIOLATIONS AGAINST AL-AQSA MOSQUE

AMMAN, Jordan, July 23 (NNN-PETRA) - Jordan, on Sunday, condemned Israel's repeated violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs, Jumana Ghunaimat, said, Jordan strongly condemns Israel's violations and provocations, especially radical settlers breaking into the yards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli police.

The minister said, such practices are condemned and rejected, as they violated all laws.

Israel, she said, should respect all laws and norms, and the historic status of Jerusalem, and stop such provocations.

The Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv sent a letter of protest to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, regarding the repeated storming of the mosque's yards by radical Jewish settlers.

"All provocations need to stop immediately," she said.
