Iran Foils 30-Explosion Terrorist Plot Targeting Capital: Ministry

TEHRAN, Sept 25 (NNN-IRNA) – The Iranian intelligence foiled a terrorist plot targetting multiple crowded places, here in the Iranian capital, and arrested 28 suspects, the Intelligence Ministry said.

In a statement published on its website, the ministry said, 30 simultaneous explosions had been planned, with the aim of disrupting national security, create fear among the people, and provoke unrest on the anniversary of last fall’s riots.

Iranian, Egyptian finance ministers meet to discuss ties, cooperation

TEHRAN, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Finance Minister Ehsan Khandouzi said Monday that he has met and held constructive talks with his Egyptian counterpart during his visit to Cairo a day earlier.

In a post on social media platform X, Khandouzi said during his meeting with Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, the two agreed to form a committee for the implementation of joint projects.

Iran: Agreement On Revival Of Nuclear Deal “Within Reach” If U.S. Quits “Contradictory Behaviours”: Iranian FM

TEHRAN, Sept 24 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said that, an agreement on the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), will be “within reach,” if the U.S. stops its “contradictory behaviours.”

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks to reporters in New York, while elaborating on his meetings on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Iranian President Has Brought Back Over 3,500 Ancient Tablets From U.S.

TEHRAN, Sept 22 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, said yesterday that, he has brought back more than 3,500 clay tablets, dating back to the era of the Achaemenid Empire of Persia (550s-330s BC) from the United States.

He made the remarks in an address to reporters, upon his arrival in the Iranian capital, Tehran, from a trip to New York, where he took part in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Iran showcases Fattah hypersonic ballistic missiles for first time

TEHRAN, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Aerospace Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Friday displayed for the first time four of its domestically-developed Fattah hypersonic ballistic missiles, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.

The missiles were showcased in the presence of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and senior military officials in a parade staged by the Iranian armed forces in the capital Tehran on the occasion of the Sacred Defense Week, which marks the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq war during 1980-88, the report said.

Iran Slams New U.S. Sanctions On Media Outlets

TEHRAN, Sept 20 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran yesterday criticised the United States for imposing new sanctions on Iranian individuals and entities, including media outlets, calling the move a “trite bid” to suppress transparency and truth.

Iranian government spokesman, Ali Bahadori Jahromi, said that, the sanctions demonstrate Washington’s “fear for the reality to be shown by truth-seeking and leading media.”

Jahromi also highlighted Washington’s double standards, pointing out that while the U.S. supports media aligned with its policies, it stifles independent voices.

Iran, U.S. Swap Prisoners Under Doha-Brokered Deal

TEHRAN/DOHA, Sept 19 (NNN-IRNA/QNA) – Iran and the United States, yesterday, conducted a much-anticipated prisoner swap, each releasing five detainees, Iranian and Qatari media reported.

Two released Iranians arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, yesterday, while three others were released in the U.S. under the deal brokered by Doha, Mizan news agency of Iran judiciary, reported.

Iran Seized U.S.-Made Arms, Equipment In Southern Waters

TEHRAN, Sept 18 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iranian intelligence forces, seized a large batch of contraband American arms and equipment from a vessel, upon its entry into the country’s southern waters, it was reported, yesterday.

The shipment, containing more than 6,000 stun guns, was seized in an operation, off the coast of the southern port city of Bandar-e Khamir in Hormozgan province, the provincial Chief Justice, Mojtaba Qahremani, was quoted as saying.
